The ‘Don’t Miss’ List
By DT NEWS,
1. As anyone who has ever struggled to decide what lamp goes with the end table knows, design matters. This week, Downtowners get to gander some of the finest design around, thanks to the recently opened exhibit No Taste for Bad Taste. Mounted at the Arts District’s A+D Museum, the show features 40 French design masterpieces, selected by a roster of design luminaries. The objects represent what the show describes as 10 “essential values” such as “art de vivre,” “panache” and “audacity.” This is manifested in an array of sofas, chairs, tables and even bicycles and headphones. There’s a good chance you’ll leave with some thoughts on how to improve your own home. No Taste for Bad Taste continues through April 29. At 900 E. Fourth St. or aplusd.org.
